Radar and Air Traffic Control

There are large numbers of people, who want to visit from one country to another country by airways. About thousands of flights land and take off daily. The sky may be safe surface for aeroplanes, but airplanes crash and grabbing of headline is the main serious problem. There are lots of airplanes, which traveled in the sky. It is very necessary to know that how all airplanes maintain and does an airplane maintain well and the record of it safe? The Systems of Air Traffic Controllers in the United States give the direction to airplanes and tell all planes where and when to flight land in proper manner and how low or high to fly. The Systems of ATC has taken rely on radar. It was first time when radar has impacted and nations during the Second World War, which were included in battling and have used radar.

Radar and Air Traffic Control

The Air Traffic Controllers in the United States begins to use the Ground Controlled Approach. Air force has been worked regularly from 1943 with radar. This is very important for military pilots to land with safety in worse weather or bad conditions. Pencil

Beams such as azimuth and elevation with the oscillating radar antennas has attached by the Ground Controlled Approach. Radar is very beneficial for fan beam; it is useful to determine airplanes position that is away approximately 20 miles to 3000 meters from the airport. For surveillance, a 360-degree rotating radar is consisting in the Ground Controlled Approach.

In 1945, Ground Controlled Approach has equipment, which is used by the civil controllers at airport; LaGuardia also calls it. This is useful to land flights with rated 15 planes in an hour. The components of Ground Controlled Approach were transferred by landing aid that is famous by the Landing System instrument. GCA equipment was used at various number of airports by 1952 and they have experience many problems.

Therefore, it has proven that airplanes travel and land safely. ILS replaces the GCA scanning pencil beams and it was useful for improving rotation radars and the terminal area is transferred instead of wide coverage areas by surveillance radars. Aircraft radars have no any automatic tracking capability. Air Traffic Controllers push the plastic markers that are called by shrimp boats. It is useful to track an aircraft’s movement.

Recently, radars for air traffic control have tracked hazardous weather and aircraft. Now the radars of the Modern Air Traffic Control, the Doppler may use and it effect to determine the velocities of storm and to measure the position of aircraft from stationary targets.

There is another system available, which is known as the Identification Friend, or Foe System prepared and has best results on civil aviation during the Second World War. For surveillance the FAA has prepared an airborne collision avoidance system in the 1980s, which was depend on air-to-air surveillance. Now in the United States and Europe, Collision Avoidance System is used for aircraft operating. Hence, there are very benefits of radar in the air traffic control for airport taxiways and runways.
